White Wax Casting Process & Precautions
Design type: Jewelry designs are rich and diverse both domestically and internationally, and the principle of easy production needs to be considered in the design. Casting is also an important factor to consider.
Thickness and thickness: The thickness and thickness of a part directly affect the ease of combustion. If it is too thick or too coarse, the strength of gypsum needs to be higher to resist the compression during the expansion of the part. Too thin and too fine, it is necessary to consider the fluidity of the metal, set a reasonable position for the water outlet, and adjust the temperature at which the metal blends in.
Water outlet design: Following the principle of primary to secondary, arranging water outlets reasonably and increasing them reasonably can improve the success rate of mold casting and enhance the quality of goods.
Material type: Jewelry wax, white wax, or resin. Due to different combustion characteristics, the difficulty and temperature curve of casting also vary. The higher the wax content, the easier it is to cast, but attention should also be paid to the method.
Gypsum strength: With high wax content, the requirement for gypsum strength is reduced. Using resin gypsum powder can increase the quality of casting, and adding boric acid appropriately can also increase the strength of gypsum powder. The longer the time of standing before entering the furnace, the drier the gypsum will be, which can also increase the strength of gypsum in the early stage of combustion.
Curing conditions: The solidification of the material affects the quality of casting, and it can be cast without solidification. However, more time is needed to eliminate the residue during combustion. The more thorough the solidification and the more complete the combustion, the better the casting quality.
Sintering temperature and time: The higher the sintering temperature, the easier it is to burn off the residue, but it is also necessary to gradually increase the temperature to prevent gypsum damage. Thick and thick parts require longer burning time.
